The work alternates between highly concentrated gestures (bagatelles) and more expansive, introspective sound worlds (reflections). The piano is treated as a resonant, physical instrument as much as a lyrical one, producing lyrical moments and shifting timbral states, from distant and fragile to relentless and brutal.
